Free Housing
We have someone in charge of housing to help all of our guests from out of town find a host to stay with. Housing fills up quickly and is NOT GUARANTEED. We do this as a favor and try our best to accommodate all of those who can't afford to stay at a hotel. We try to reserve this for those who truly need it!
Housing will only be provided for those registering for a full weekend pass. You must register for your weekend pass before you can be added to the housing list. The request information is filled out during the registration process.
Food/Things to do in Iowa City
The downtown Iowa City area is oriented towards pedestrians, and features a large number of local restaurants, and boutiques that are unique to the area. More information can be found on the Iowa City website http://www.iowacitycoralville.org/visitors.asp
Getting to Iowa City
Flying
The closest airport to Iowa City is the Cedar Rapids International Airport (CID), which is served by the commercial carriers Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines. The following cities offer direct flights to Cedar Rapids, Minneapolis, Denver, Las Vegas, Pheonix, Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Orlando, and Tampa/St. Pete. For cheaper flights, some choose to fly into nearby cities like Moline, Illinois , Quad Cities International Airport(MLI), which is a mere hour away from Iowa City. Other choices include Des Moines, IA (DSM) about two hours away. If you find a cheaper flight at one of these airports, and would prefer to not fly into Cedar Rapids, please email HawkeyeSwingFest@gmail.com, and we will do our best to help you find a ride.
Bus
Iowa City is served by Burlington Trailways and Greyhound. Call the Iowa City depot at 319-337-2127 for more information. Ask about student discounts.

- Take Exit #244 and turn south on Dubuque St.
